Reglazing Material
OUR MATERIAL
Often confused with PAINT, our DUROKOTE II material is specifically manufactured and designed for the hard surace refinishing industry. Unlike house paint, our material must be applied by a highly trained reglazing expert. It is a high gloss aliphatic resin having superior gloss and color retention after extended abuse and exposure to harsh elements. The material will provide a hard, mar resistant film and is able to withstand splash and spillage of a wide variety of chemicals. The most common areas of application are kitchen and bathroom appliances, porcelain, ceramic, fiberglass, interior wood products, tiled areas, and hard laminate surfaces. Our material will withstand high temlperature applications, offers a wide variety of textures, will not yellow under most circumstances, has a quick dry time, is resistant to acids and alkalis, and also comes in a wide variety of colors.

THE PROCESS
Generally takes 2-3 hours per job depending on the extent of the work ordered.
Clean the surface and rid the area of all contaminants. This is accomplished by using our special, industry designed etching solution. We sand the surface down to properly prepare chemical bonding.
A chemical bonding agent is professionally sprayed on the prepared surface to ensure proper adhesion occures between OUR reglazing material and the prepared surface.
OUR catalyzed reglazing material, acrylic aliphatic polyglass urethane, is then sprayed on the surface in 3 coats to give the proper smooth, gloss finish.
WARRANTY
Warranty covers peeling, blistering, bubbling, warping of material, and flaws in the workmanship / application.
We give a 5-year warranty on all reglazed surfaces, excluding Kitchen and Laundry Sinks due to the amount of abuse they see.
Kitchen and Laundry Sinks receive a 1-year Warranty
Fiberglass Repairs below water level of the bathtub receive a 3-year warranty.
Extensive Fiberglass Repairs to the bottom of the bathtub, resupported, receive a 5 year warranty on the work.
Warranty does not include customer or tenant neglect, normal wear and tear, accidental damage, or chips.
Use of Hair Dye, Bath Mats, Non-slip stickers void the warranty if damage is caused (use at your own risk)

DUROKOTE II is an aliphatic acrylic urethane coating that was developed for refinishing. I give you a written 10 Year GUARANTEE that the surface will not peel, fade, or blister. In reality it should last 30 - 40 years or longer! Just like a new porcelain surface. If you didn't know a refinish had been done you would not be able to tell. |

CARE & MAINTAIN
Make sure not to use harsh or abrasive cleaners such as Comet or Ajax.
Always use liquid cleaners without bleach such as Scrubbing Bubbles, Soft Scrub, 409 All-Purpose Spray. Make sure to always use the soft side of the sponge.
PKB offers a special soap specifically designed for the refinishing industry. If you are unsure of which over the counter cleaning product to use then we can guarantee cleaning with our 'SAFE SOAP". Safe Soap does not contain acids or abrasives and is safe for use on any fixture refinished with Poly-Glass™. It will extend that "freshly refinished look".
